As the anime adaptation of the Seven Deadly Sins draws to a close, it’ll be interesting to reflect on some of the characters that perished in the series’ many fights. In one way or another, many of these characters have captured the hearts of fans.

Even villains who managed to rehabilitate themselves were faced with death instead of the happy ending they deserved. Despite the fact that many other characters died during the anime, their deaths stung viewers the most because they were tragic and unexpected. Monspeet and Derieri had given up the war to live peacefully in a village, but were ambushed by Estarossa, who had come to retrieve their commandments. Monspeet was able to outsmart Estarossa and gain the upper hand, but Estarossa’s questionable Estarossa launched an attack on Derieri, forcing Monspeet to let go of Estarossa. For Derieri’s sake, Monspeet prevented the onslaught by throwing himself in the line of fire.

Derieri Fought Alongside The Heroes Until Her Death

Estarossa went on a rampage after regaining his memories as Mael, the most powerful Archangel. He was enraged at Gowther for robbing him of so much. Derieri, who was now fighting alongside the Seven Deadly Sins and the Archangels, devised a plan to restrain him and bring him back to his senses during his rage. Tarmiel, on the other hand, was heartbroken at having to fight his good friend and slowed down his attack. Mael took advantage of the situation, breaking away from their grip and killing Derieri. Fans were dissatisfied since they wanted Derieri’s persona to grow much more.

Drole Sacrificed Himself To Save Dianne Whom He Considered To Be The Next Leader Of The Giant Race

Drole was a strong and powerful warrior who was formerly the monarch of the giant race. He was accosted by Zeldris and forced to join the 10 commandments during the Holy War 3000 years ago. He repented his vow after meeting the Seven Deadly Sins and even assisted Dianne in becoming stronger. Harlequin, Ban, Dianne, and Gowther were all overcome by Chandler’s might throughout their fight. Drole and Gloxinia arrive to battle Chandler and buy time for their companions to flee. Chandler kills Drole while fighting to protect Dianne.

Gloxinia, the first Fairy King, was likewise forced to follow the 10 commandments. Gloxinia enabled his successor Harlequin to grow in authority and experience after he abolished his commandment. While Harlequin and his pals were fighting Chandler, Gloxinia and Drole arrived to help their new friends. Gloxinia and Drole were both killed in the end. It would have been lovely to watch Harlequin learn more about his role as the Fairy King directly from Gloxinia.

Meliodas May Come Back To Life Every Time He Dies, But His Death Was Really Heartbreaking

The Demon King cursed Meliodas with immortality, causing him to resurrect after each death. Meliodas confronted Drole and Gloxinia at one point in the story and defeated them both. Unfortunately, the remaining ten commandments arrived and engaged Meliodas in battle. Estarossa approached him after he had been rendered immobile and stabbed all of his hearts. For fans, this was a particularly devastating moment, as the Demon Race began invading Liones and Meliodas was unable to rescue the country.

Escanor’s Death Was A Big Blow To His Fans

Escanor, the Lion’s Sin Of Pride of the Seven Deadly Sins, was a genuinely powerful and proud character, and a popular favorite. Escanor, who first appeared in the second season, has fought in a number of conflicts, each one displaying him in all his glory. Escanor went so far as to transform his own life force into power in order to keep himself in peak battle mode throughout their explosive confrontation with the Demon King. Escanor, who had accumulated too much power, died in a magnificent pillar of fire after the Demon King was defeated.
